Transmission Belting

Nitta Flat Drive Belts are tested for over 250,000,000 flexes to determine the pulley diameters that will give extremely long trouble free belt life. We refer to these as “Standard” pulley diameters.

While using pulley diameters larger than the “Standard” diameters may increase belt life, using pulley diameters smaller than our“Standard” can cause a corresponding loss of belt life. “Minimum”pulley diameters are the diameters a belt will conform to; however,expected belt flex life is lessened.

Nitta Flat Drive Belts can be used on pulley diameters any comparative competitive drive belt can be used on, with the strong possibility of receiving longer belt life than would have been received from the competitive belt.

Properties

Chemical Resistance

Resistant to Fats, Oil, Grease, Gasoline,Humidity, Steam, Dryness, Dust, many Chemicals and Solvents. Not resistant to Phenol, Cresol and Concentrated Acids

Covers

Nitta “Polybelt” is available from stock in eight (8) cover thickness and fourteen (14) nylon strengths to meet your requirements for power rating, abrasion or wear resistance and pulley diameters for specific applications. The cover designations are as follows: SG(skim coat), L (light), M (medium), H (heavy), and XH (extra heavy).Covers are the same thickness on both sides of the belt. The designation MH indicates a heavy cover on the pully side, medium cover on the other side. Cover types of L, M and H have one blue side and one black anti static side. Covers LA, MA, and HA have blue covers on both sides.

Lesycon-Leather Covered

Leather drive side, textile other side for two pulleydrives. Excellent for textile industry card drives, conedrives, lickerin/doffer drives.Leather both sides. Use on two pulley straight orcrossed drives; serpentine drives. Engineered forhigh shock or high torque drives up to 5000 HP. Usefor primary or secondary drives in flour mills; conedrives in paper mills; wood chippers, rock crushers,rolling mills, or any location requiring an efficient,economical drive belt.

Pulleys

For maximum belt life, pulleys used with Nitta flat drive beltsshould be made of an abrasion resistant material, preferablysteel, and should have a smooth slightly rounded surface toconform to the specifications given in Table below. The pulleysurface should be fully rounded, with no sharp edges. Standardstatically balanced cast iron or steel pulleys can be used forbelt speeds to 6000 ft./min. (30 m/s). For belt speed in excessof 6000 ft./min. (30 m/s) use special statically and dynamicallybalanced ductile iron or steel pulleys.

High-speed and high-load nylon core belt

The nylon core belt made by combining strong polyamide films and excellent special abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber is becoming widely used in various industrial sectors.

Precision driving and conveyor seamless belt

This is a thin seamless belt to fill demand for high-speed drive transmission, high precision and dimension stability. The belt is employed for business machines, energy-saving equipment and electric appliances that need precision drive transmission and conveyance. The actual delivery records show our customers' confidence in the belt.

Resin conveyor belt

Strong reduced-elongation polyester textile fabric, clean and high abrasion-resistant urethane, and special synthetic rubber are combined, according to application, to make the resin conveyor belt. The resin conveyor belt has become widely used in various industrial sectors.

Simplified light driving and conveyor endless belt

This belt has several added functions and characteristics such as simplified endless function (finger joint), dimensional stability, and compatibility with small a pulley. This is a new product for which the company is proactively marketing applications in the field of banknote conveyance.
