Our History and Beginning

John Ware and his brother Arber Ware formed Belting Ware (Pty) Ltd in 1981. The company was initially based in Cape john ware standing at our entranceTown. John Ware at this stage had ± 7 years experience in the marketing of Belting products into South Africa.

In 1989 Belting Ware under the management of John Ware expanded its marketing interests by opening a distribution and service center in Johannesburg. In 1992 Belting Ware merged with the then Maritime Marketing Belting Division to form a new company called Mariware Belting cc. In 1995 Mariware was sold to the Hudaco organization.

In 1996 John Ware relocated back to Cape Town and formed the current trading company Belting Edge (Pty) Ltd.
